This was a gift from the author for a honest review.
Oh my gosh! The opening to this book is great. The
description of what is happening and details of the people there is wonderful!
I love it when an author actually gives you a good description on how a person
looks, their eyes, hair, etc. There is no time wasted on getting the story
started. I will do my best not to give any spoilers but it may be hard at
times. The descriptions given make me want to move to the places in this book.
I can't get enough of the details and how everything feels like you can just
walk through a door and be right there. Trish has just found out something that
is a big game changer in her life. Going from living with her mom in Florida to
a boarding school in California was the result of the secret. Being a teenager
is tough all on its own but add an odd little twist to it and things become
more interesting. Even though Trish has moved to a new place she is living as
normal of a teenage life as possible. As it is with all high school girls Trish
is finding new friends and a new love life. Everything is going to change due
to one big secret. Life for Trish will not continue how she knows it and it is
up to her, her family, and friends to protect all of humanity from being
destroyed.
I can't thank Paranormal Romance & Authors That
Rock enough for sending me this amazing book to review. I can't wait for more!
This is definitely a 5 fangs for me! ;) There are some spots with incorrect
punctuation and a few uncompleted thoughts/sentences. I also found some places
where the wrong word was used. Overall the mistakes were very minor and didn't
interfere much at all except where it was an incomplete sentence.
Quotes:
"I love how books let you escape, how one
minute you're lying on your bed alone and with the turn of a page you're in a
foreign land painted in your mind by the author. Whether it is in the past, a
different country or even a completely different world entirely, it's a great
way to escape."
"I
look at Keagan; I mean really look at him. I don't like that he is using how
and where he was raised as an excuse for everything that he has done to me. I
see it all of the time, everyone blaming something or someone for their own
actions. If you make a choice you have to stick with it, regardless. Stop
blaming the system and be accountable for your own choices."
“Remember, your mind is like a book Trish, it's
only any use to you if it's open.”
