Torn by Christine Hughes
The fight between good and evil is still at hand. A young
woman can tip the balance for better or for worse depending on the path she
takes. She struggles within herself fighting her own demons and those trying to
persuade her to evil. But will it be enough? Samantha always thought she was a
normal human teenage girl. Her father had protected her from the truth until
his death. Now it is up to Samantha to decide if she will follow the plan he
had set up for her to land on the side of good, or will she let her demons win
and evil consume her?
I loved
Torn! This is an amazing book on the war between good and evil. The author
fills this story with hope, love, despair, betrayal, and sadness. There is so
much to this story and it's told in such a way you don't want to put it down. Samantha
just found out who she really is and is dealing with a lot. After just finding
out about the death of her dad she's learning how to fight and use her new found
abilities all to fight in the war between good and evil. The hard part is
figuring out everything and sticking to the side you know is right. Now it's up
to Sam to pick the side she wants to fight on: good or evil. To her it's a
simple black and white answer: Good. But what she is learning and starting to
understand is that the choice isn't always that simple. Each and every person
has a darkness inside of them that is always trying to become the more
dominate, it is a struggle and not one where good can always win. Sam's dad
wasn't always on the good side of the fight so her demons are a lot stronger
than she has yet to realize. With the help of her friends Lucas and Ethan she
is training to fight and stay strong to the good inside her. Although she's
fighting to stay on the path of good she's seeing that her darkness is starting
to gain some. When the three have to relocate for more help in training Sam,
she starts to see who her two friends truly are. One will fight with her and be
the balance she needs while the other will betray her and through that betrayal
push her to turn into who she needs to be. I give this book 5 fangs for how
amazing and enthralling the story is. This book was a gift from the author for
a honest review. I give thanks to Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock for
giving me the opportunity to read Torn and go on this amazing journey for a new
series.
